For most of us, the answer is no. We are not the same individual from one day to the next, and on our more chaotic days, we’re not even the same character from one moment to the next.

Walt Whitman put it best, I think, when he wrote ‘I contain multitudes’.

We all do. We all ‘contain multitudes’.
